Meet the Artists AND the Animals at this year’s Concert for Kindness

The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center is home to incredible music and art – but with help from The Dallas Zoo and Dallas Animal Services, we’re sure it’s never seen an event quite like this year’s Concert For Kindness! Join us for a wonderful afternoon of chamber music with the DSO’s Erin Hannigan and friends. Along the way, you can meet some of the diverse and beautiful animals who inspire us to create, and make an even greater impact by participating in our first ever CFK adoption event.

The Concert For Kindness will take place in the Meyerson lobby at 3PM on Sunday April 23. Tickets are available now, and all proceeds and donations will go directly our Community Grant Fund. Help us provide food, shelter, and life-saving veterinary care for animals in need. We hope you can join us!

There’s a concert coming!

It’s April 23, 2023 at 4pm and you’re going to want to be there when Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s ERIN HANNIGAN and other symphony stars play for the animals they love. A beautiful afternoon of music unfolds as they perform with their hearts to save the homeless pets of north Texas. More details soon.

It’s Grant Time!

If you run an animal rescue not-for-profit in the North Texas area (and you don’t have any paid employees), you’re eligible for a grant from Artists for Animals. Starting September 1st, you can fill out a simple form with information about your organization and we will present it to our Board of Directors at the fall meeting. The groups chosen will receive a check from AFA.

We are open for submissions during the month of September only, so if you can’t return the grant form before midnight, September 30th, I’m sorry but we will be unable to consider your request. Email us for the form you need: artistsforanimalstx@gmail.com and we’ll see if we can help!

Artists for Animals supports The Harmony Fund

We are shocked and saddened to see the suffering in Ukraine. As an organization that exists solely to relieve the suffering of animals, we could not sit by and do nothing –so Artists for Animals is pleased to have made a donation to The Harmony Fund

While we hope this conflict ends quickly, we are in awe of these brave people and their mission to help the pets of Ukraine. We stand with you!

It’s time for some music!

Join us for an intimate chamber music concert at The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center Lobby on March 27th at 4pm as we celebrate the animals that add so much to our lives. Your tickets can be purchased online, here, and each ticket includes wine, savory nibbles and their famous bread pudding.

After the purchase, your name will be added to the list at the door (no paper tickets will be sent) Only 120 tickets will be sold, so don’t wait!

OR visit a local pet store or grocery store, shop and purchase using the list above as a guide then drop your items at one of these local businesses. It’s easy shopping — they need almost everything you could possibly choose. Artists for Animals volunteers will pick them up on December 27th and distribute to area shelters.

Thank you, once again, for caring for the homeless pets of north Texas.

It’s time to spread the love

The Artists for Animals Community Grant program is in full swing. Money raised from our Tiny Dog Calendar voting contest and a few other sources will be given out to local area animal rescue groups (dogs and cats) in the form of grants. This year we were named the beneficiary of the Halloween raffle at Odyssey Pets, and that money will be added to the grant program. THANKS, ODYSSEY PETS!

But we need more groups to apply! Your group must be local to north Texas and have no paid employees. All you do is email us for a simple form and our board votes on which groups get checks (up to $2000 each) in December. It’s really that easy.

We are firm on the cutoff date, so don’t delay. Email us at: artistsforanimalstx@gmail.com for the form. The deadline for grant applications to be returned to us is November 30th at midnight. Send them via email or snail mail or pony express — just get them to us so we can vote at our December board meeting!
