There’s a concert coming!
It’s April 23, 2023 at 4pm and you’re going to want to be there when Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s ERIN HANNIGAN and other symphony stars play for the animals they love. A beautiful afternoon of music unfolds as they perform with their hearts to save the homeless pets of north Texas. More details soon.
Send us your Grant applications before September 30th!
It’s time for GRANT SUBMISSIONS – so don’t delay! Request your form via email: firstname.lastname@example.org so you can apply before the September 30th deadline. Your group could be eligible for a grant check!
It’s Grant Time!
If you run an animal rescue not-for-profit in the North Texas area (and you don’t have any paid employees), you’re eligible for a grant from Artists for Animals. Starting September 1st, you can fill out a simple form with information about your organization and we will present it to our Board of Directors at the fall meeting. The groups chosen will receive a check from AFA.
We are open for submissions during the month of September only, so if you can’t return the grant form before midnight, September 30th, I’m sorry but we will be unable to consider your request. Email us for the form you need: email@example.com and we’ll see if we can help!
Artists for Animals supports The Harmony Fund
We are shocked and saddened to see the suffering in Ukraine. As an organization that exists solely to relieve the suffering of animals, we could not sit by and do nothing –so Artists for Animals is pleased to have made a donation to The Harmony Fund
While we hope this conflict ends quickly, we are in awe of these brave people and their mission to help the pets of Ukraine. We stand with you!
It’s time for some music!
Join us for an intimate chamber music concert at The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center Lobby on March 27th at 4pm as we celebrate the animals that add so much to our lives. Your tickets can be purchased online, here, and each ticket includes wine, savory nibbles and their famous bread pudding.
After the purchase, your name will be added to the list at the door (no paper tickets will be sent) Only 120 tickets will be sold, so don’t wait!

Thank you, once again, for caring for the homeless pets of north Texas.
It’s time to spread the love
The Artists for Animals Community Grant program is in full swing. Money raised from our Tiny Dog Calendar voting contest and a few other sources will be given out to local area animal rescue groups (dogs and cats) in the form of grants. This year we were named the beneficiary of the Halloween raffle at Odyssey Pets, and that money will be added to the grant program. THANKS, ODYSSEY PETS!
But we need more groups to apply! Your group must be local to north Texas and have no paid employees. All you do is email us for a simple form and our board votes on which groups get checks (up to $2000 each) in December. It’s really that easy.
We are firm on the cutoff date, so don’t delay. Email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org for the form. The deadline for grant applications to be returned to us is November 30th at midnight. Send them via email or snail mail or pony express — just get them to us so we can vote at our December board meeting!
Bravo, Birdie! And many thanks
What an amazing race! We are so very grateful to all the wonderful calendar dogs who participated (and of course, their families who did all the vote-raising!). Our grand total of 15,721 votes is a terrific achievement! Our BIG THREE are: BIRDIE, BAILEY and MARLO who will be raking in prizes and placements in the calendar.
We couldn’t have asked for more photogenic stars!
These three will be interviewed on WFAA’s Daybreak with Kara Sewell (full disclosure, Kara is Bailey’s mom) very soon.
Birdie will grace the cover of the 2021 Tiny Dog Calendar and Bailey and Marlo can choose the month where the portrait will be featured. A big shout out to PET SUPPLIES PLUS and ODYSSEY PETS for providing generous gifts for the 1st and 2nd place winners –and to Carrabba’s Italian Grill for providing the $100 gift certificate for our 3rd place winner.
Please join us in congratulating ALL THE DOGS who participated. The top 13 vote-getters are next year’s calendar dogs, but all 21 contestants worked hard to raise money for animal rescue charities in our DFW area. They’re all STARS – and we couldn’t be more grateful. Stay tuned for information about where and when to purchase the calendars!
