The AFA Grant Program

Artists For Animals (AFA) is a non-profit organization focused on supporting animal welfare organizations through the power of the arts. Be it music, visual arts, or dance, the talents of our artists generate funds that support worthy organizations.

We are now accepting applicants for our 2024 Community Grant. Click here to apply!

Our board of directors is committed to developing supportive relationships with other DFW organizations focused on saving homeless animals. This support, utilizing the talent of artists in several ways, can be a fundraiser, a donation drive, or a small grant, depending on the organization.

At this time, we are accepting applications for grants in the amount of up to $2,000. The deadline to apply for this grant is May 15, 2024. We will announce recipients and award grants in June 2024.

To be considered for our AFA Community Grant, the organization must:

  1. Be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
  2. Be directly involved in saving animals and/or helping people keep their pets
  3. Have a sound organizational process (i.e. Regular Board meetings, a budget,  timely financial and IRS reports, leadership) and no paid employees
  4. Maintain a positive relationship in the community
  5. Be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex

If you are interested in being a beneficiary of AFA’s support, please complete our quick and easy online application

How can I be sure where my donation goes
    Don’t get me wrong

    1. Hi Cathy,
We totally understand — The Concert for Kindness is designated as an Operation Kindness event, but we do other events that benefit various small rescue groups in the area. If you feel you would rather support the other groups, please either donate online and specify that, or attend the other events (not the concert in March). That way, you know where your money will be used. For a list of the smaller rescue groups that we supported in 2017, go to the “we support” page of our website. Thank you!

  2. Angie’s Friends wants to thank Artists for Animals again for choosing us as one of the recipients for 2019. Angie Manriquez helps animals in the dangerous, socioeconomically depressed areas of West Dallas – and she is there 365 days a year doing that. They are the beneficiaries of your generosity and it is very much appreciated!
