Artists for Animals today announces  a brand new event venue in the Dallas Design District. LEVEL TWO, at 1250 Slocum. “We instantly fell in love with the space when we saw it,” says Artists for Animals co-founder Teresa Berg. “We knew it was time to move Artists for Animals to the heart of Dallas.”

Berg, a Photographer, and Erin Hannigan, Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Oboe, combined their talents several years ago in support of animal rescue charities in North Texas. “We brainstormed ways that our artistry could help animals in need,” explains Hannigan, an avid dog rescuer. “It’s been amazing to see how many local artists have jumped in to support this cause.”

During the concert, Hannigan and musicians from Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Southern Methodist University play a classical music score to complement dog and cat photography and videography by Berg and other artists. Wine, desserts, and coffee are served during intermission and immediately following the concert. The result is an upbeat, playful concert experience that celebrates the beauty of rescued pets.

Throughout the year, Artists for Animals takes adoptable rescue animals to Booker T. Washington to model for the talented young illustrators. The students proudly donate their artwork to the Artists for Animals silent auction. The doors open at 7:00 pm so that attendees may peruse and bid on the original artwork while they sip on dog- and cat-themed cocktails and enjoy the sounds of the Young Strings musical group. The concert begins promptly at 8:00 pm.
