Art on display! AFA around town…

afa-installation

Saving animals with art takes many forms — and just like the wonderful dogs and cats we rescue, our art is filled with a variety of color, texture and design. Our Rescued with Love exhibit, features beautiful dogs photographed with natural light and fresh flowers and is a symbol of hope for all homeless animals everywhere.

Designed to show off their beauty, this group of photographs and another group of student drawings from Booker T Washington School for the Arts will be popping up in public places all around town to teach and inspire people to ADOPT a pet instead of SHOP for their next pet.  Watch for dates and details about an exhibit near you! And many thanks to Goosehead Insurance for their lobby space.

And the winner is…

Pandah!  By a nose and a half.  The competition was fierce and every one of these dogs deserved to win — so our deepest thanks to the families who fought hard and campaigned for their pets. Each dog will receive a gift print of their calendar shot and a copy of the calendar. Best of all, the homeless pets of Dallas win as Artists for Animals continues to fight for their welfare. Thank you!

THANK YOU! Our tails are wagging…

Our hearts are full after an amazing outpouring of love and generosity for Operation Kindness at Saturday night’s concert. The fourth annual Artists for Animals concert was a true success! Even though the final totals aren’t available yet, we can safely announce that we met our goal and will be purchasing the wonderful adoption trailer that Operation Kindness needs. Artists, musicians, guests and volunteers all pulled together for a hugely successful evening — and the homeless animals of north Texas are the big winners. Thank you so much. teresa berg Operation Kindness
